George Ackerman and his wife Sarah owned and operated Ackerman’s Style Center for 34 years from 1952 to 1986. Mr. Ackerman was an integral part of the downtown business district and was awarded Citizen of the Year by the Fort Mill Chamber of Commerce in 1980.
